The Waves Centre
Visitor Information Centre. Located at the intersection of Rte.
1 and 4, 1 km from Wood Islands ferry terminal. Visitor information
centre, liquor store, internet site, exquisite gift shops, community
room, landscaped grounds, gazebo. Obtain PEI information, check
your email,shop awhile, have a picnic. Open May-Oct. Liquor
store and community room open year round.
Islands Provincial Park
Location: Wood Island Ferry Terminal
The Wood Islands Park has a great beach where you can swim
at high tide or clam dig when it is low. It is a day use park
where you will find playground equipment, beach, bathroom
facilities, boat ramp, wharf, picnic area and food services.
The children will love the little fishing shanty village and
everyone can be transported back in time as you visit the
lighthouse, open for touring, daily.
Location: Little Sands, Rte 4.
The Rossignol Estate Winery offers a remarkable variety of premium
fruit and table wines. Visit our farm winery, vineyard and art
gallery, where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Northumberland
Strait. Sample our fine wines and peruse a wonderful selection
of folk art, Island paintings and crafts. Open May-Oct. Mon-Sat,
10 am-5 pm; Sun, 1-5 pm.
Location: Murray Harbour, Rte
This unique log cabin has an intriguing private collection,
over 300 articles. There are gramophones, over 100 lamps, bottle
collection, large assortment of crystal, rockery, china and
a bedroom of the 1800s. Complete kitchen fixtures and utensils
over 100 years old as well as farm machinery.
Elly’s Genteel Gifts & Stuff

Miss Elly’s is a country star that offers such things

Castle Provincial Park
Location: Murray River, off Rte
This is a magical place displaying a family of favorite storybook
characters in statue form. Kings Castle is a terrific family
location, with open areas for games, and the children will enjoy
the variety of equipment and forts. Kings Castle a day use park,
consists of a beach area, change rooms and a two-sided kitchen
shelter -- great for family or group barbecues.
Adventures Seal Watching
Location: Murray River Wharf,
Marine Adventures seal watching is an entertaining and educational
experience for people of all ages. We see seals on every cruise
to Prince Edwards Island's largest seal colony. Our two-hour
tour will take you down the calm and beautiful Murray River,
past fishing ports and mussel farms, to the Murray Islands,
home to hundreds of seals and a wildlife sanctuary. Deep-sea
fishing also available.
